GRANDS PRIX DU DESIGN – 12th edition

A collaborative effort by architect Maxime Brault and interior designer Jacinthe LeBlanc, the arrangement designed by Bernard & Fils Traiteur [Bernard & Son Catering] impressed the jury by reflecting research. “The design concept emanates both luminosity and softness,” they noted, “the use of wood subdues the clinical feel of the place.” By inserting wood into the pre-existing steel structures, the duo found a replacement solution to the suspended soundproofing panels. “We like their idea of playing with the senses in the way the entrepreneur does in his kitchen, notably by adding pine oil boxes, which create receptivity to scent and colour.”
