The objectives and how they were achieved
To reflect its growing range of services, Bassan – Agence numérique, formerly Ergoweb Canada, has adopted a new brand identity. Now translating a broader digital space, bringing memorable digital experiences to life.
Inspired by the aerial prowess of these coastal birds, Bassan evokes precision of execution across the vastness of digital territory. The fluidity of the letters, including the emblematic B that mimics the bird’s trunk, communicates relational flexibility.
Design challenges
Founded over 10 years ago, the agency had a fairly solid reputation, but also framed within a very specific service category. In addition to the company’s reputation, the field in which it operates is itself characterized by virtual and Cartesian codes.
The design therefore highlights the brand’s differentiating approach: healthy business relationships, all-natural solutions. Because in a world of artificial intelligence, it’s good to reconnect with a more lively, straightforward approach.
Technological and/or hardware innovations
The initial idea was to create a large digital territory in which to immerse oneself to embody Bassan’s brand universe. The design is therefore a reflection of a very tangible external environment.
To achieve this, an observational study was carried out, drawing parallels with the territory of the Northern Gannet. Inspired by this territory, with its cliffs and coastlines, we drew out the shapes, movement and textures that can be embodied in digital territory. From these cliffs, organic shapes are created for use at the heart of the brand’s graphic universe. A composition that makes you feel an experience.

In contrast to the digital world, Bassan’s visual identity is firmly rooted in nature, using organic codes and textures to illustrate the agency’s collaborative approach. The primary aim was to break down the walls between the human and the interface. An approach that makes digital accessible to all.
