Alexander McQueen Las Vegas
SAJO was retained by Alexander McQueen as general contractor to manage the construction of a flagship store in the Wynn Hotel in Las Vegas, Nevada. A 2,300 square foot space, the new concept design was implemented by SAJO in partnership with the client’s architectural team.
Working within the casino site of the Wynn Hotel presented a unique set of challenges. Since casinos are open 24/7, everything had to be handled as discretely as possible.
Wood panelling was used throughout the store for walls and flooring. Some of the interior walls were clad in textured plaster panels. Display cabinets, also made of wood, are attached to walls and exhibit a selection shoes and hand bags. Above these displays, hanging from a wooden rod, are beautifully displayed Alexander McQueen scarves.
Round, floor standing display cases are used throughout the store with the top 2 or 3 shelves made to look as if they are floating. One of the changing rooms is enclosed in glass with a beautifully patterned curtain providing privacy.
