The Acadia project, located in the prestigious Mille Carré Doré neighborhood, aimed to transform a condo dating back to 1925 into a modern, luxurious living space that enhances its history. The combination of traditional architectural details with contemporary furnishings infuses the residence with a unique, timeless character.
A complete reorganization of the space was carried out to create a large open kitchen, where functionality and sleek style meet. The central island, adorned with a ceramic mosaic, adds a touch of relief to the neutral shades that make up the design.
The wall between the kitchen and dining room has been removed, giving life to an open room bathed in light and conducive to gatherings. A dining table and chairs with curved lines were meticulously chosen in a spirit of eccentric elegance.
Accessible directly from the entrance, the living room proves to be the heart of the condo. The furniture, with its clean, modern lines, blends subtly with elements that evoke the history of the place, such as a fireplace mantle and herringbone flooring.
The master and guest bedrooms have been redesigned to offer comfortable, chic sleeping spaces. For added functionality, built-in storage has been added.
The powder room stands out for its boldness, with pink lime walls and gold accents. The master bathroom, inspired by the original green marble décor, boasts green-veined quartz surfaces and backsplashes for a touch of luxury with subtlety.
It’s all about luxury.
Staying true to its New York neoclassical heritage, this interior manages to weave a harmonious link between historic charm and modern refinement, creating a refined yet welcoming urban sanctuary in the heart of Montreal. The overall monochromatic aesthetic offers a soothing space for occupants, away from the hustle and bustle of their daily lives.
