Teknion,
proud partner of the GRANDS PRIX DU DESIGN

Designing for an emerging office: is a good chair worth a commute?

As we navigate the return to “normal” we consider amenities, perks, floorplan configurations. But often overlooked in this narrative is the ubiquitous chair — which tells us everything we need to know about the many ways we work.

The office chair has evolved from a simple seat to a highly engineered ergonomic machine. With increased collaboration the chair softened, and lounge seating and residential influences appeared in nearly every office. The chair has been a consummate sign of both disruption and innovation.

Introducing Teknion’s newest task chair – Tone

Visually soft and minimalist, the Tone chair is designed to blend seamlessly with its setting. Its rounded frame invites touch and a pure silhouette balances simplicity with superior comfort. Tone allows for an expressive and efficient use of materials.

Two different mesh styles are available in an uplifting colour palette. An innovative knit sleeve, adapted from the organic structure of a leaf, adds texture with minimal fabric waste and environmental impact. Thoughtful in each detail at an accessible price, Tone marries the needs of people, place and planet in an elegant whole.
