Groupe Devimco installs the highest residential skybridge in Quebec!
The tallest residential skybridge in Quebec now rises above Montreal’s Quartier des spectacles, connecting both phases of Maestria Condominiums. Located on the 26 and 27 floors, this major architectural feat unites the two aerial towers of 58 and 61 floors that make up this magnificent project, taking elegance and refinement to new heights.
Valued at $730 million, the Maestria Condominiums project is the tallest residential tower in Montreal and will feature 700 rental apartments, over 1,000 condominiums and 40,000 square feet of common areas.
Innovation signed Groupe Devimco
Groupe Devimco dares to be bold with this innovative signature project in the heart of downtown Montreal. The suspended skybridge focuses on the harmony between the built environment and nature, and pushes the limits of engineering to reveal Quebec’s genius and know-how in construction. Renowned as a leader in real estate and urban development throughout the province, Groupe Devimco sets new industry standards.
Elevated at just over 100 metres above ground, this skybridge takes you front row to all the shows Place des Festivals has to offer.
Overall, the project enhances the urban landscape of the city centre without compromising the landscape. Everything has been thought out so that the two towers and the skybridge come together in harmony with the natural environment. The clear glass of the suspended walkway features modern, pared-back aesthetics and cozy interiors that embrace a quintessential urban lifestyle.
“On the 26th floor, you will find double-height salons, halls, and lounges. A sumptuous stage where the city’s landscapes, architecture and people are the foundation for innovation. An urban promenade, a belvedere, that allows us to explore and rediscover new viewpoints on Mount Royal, the St. Lawrence River, the Old Port, and downtown Montreal.
And at the heart of this promenade, there’s a skybridge that symbolizes much more than a simple passage from one tower to another. It has been converted into a lounge, overlooking Place des Festivals, where Maestria residents can enjoy shows and events.
The ceiling, visible from the street, is an ode to the grandiose chandeliers in the foyers of Salle Wilfrid-Pelletier. It is a captivating sculptural element in the city’s landscape that allows residents to experience the best of Montreal in a contemporary setting.
BlazysGérard design studio captured the essence of the project so as to express its artistic understanding, a narrative that carries emotion and pays tribute to the cultural institutions that house, preserve, and inspire great works of art.”
