Expansion of Strøm Nordic Spa Saint-Sauveur :
The Largest Spa in the Laurentians Coming in Winter 2026–2027
This past May marked the launch of the second phase of construction at Strøm Nordic Spa Saint-Sauveur, the brand’s fifth location. This ambitious expansion project aims to offer visitors an even more immersive and diverse relaxation experience on both sides of the rivière à Simon, which runs through the site. Once complete, the expansion will establish an exceptional wellness destination, set to become the largest spa in the Laurentians.

What’s Coming
Among the new facilities planned: a flotation bath with Epsom salt, a thermal river inspired by the lazy river concept, and an indoor pavilion where guests can enjoy the benefits of thermotherapy protected from the elements. The natural surroundings will be further enhanced with landscaping that offers a brand-new view across the rivière à Simon, making the wellness experience even more complete. The project also includes an upgraded reception area to ensure a smoother, more intuitive arrival for guests.

A Project That Respects the Site and Its History
Blending traditional architecture with Strøm’s signature minimalist and contemporary approach, the warm aesthetic of the classic Laurentian chalet will be reimagined in a modern light. This is both a tribute to traditional craftsmanship and to the site itself, where the Nordic spa tradition has existed for over 60 years. The project will be carried out with deep respect for the site’s history and the raw beauty of its natural environment. It is also expected to have positive impacts on regional tourism, as well as on local businesses and services. The opening of these new spaces is scheduled for winter 2026–2027.
About
Strøm Nordic Spa was founded on a simple idea: combining Nordic spa and urbanity, for a relaxing experience. This balance, which is also found by its customers, is based on facilities in nature, yet just minutes from urban centres. Officially opened in 2009, and now operating five locations across Quebec (Old Quebec, Nuns’ Island, Saint-Sauveur, Mont-Saint-Hilaire, and Sherbrooke), Strøm Nordic Spa continues to grow, both in scale and in public and tourism recognition.
