In La Malbaie, L’Île mystérieuse reveals itself as a unique immersive destination, bringing together a museum space, a boutique, and a restaurant-lounge with bold design. Conceived by the team at For Design Planning, this large-scale project earned the 2024 Project of the Year Award at the GRANDS PRIX DU DESIGN, highlighting the excellence of its conceptual approach.
Imagined as a contemporary tribute to the world of Jules Verne, the space blends noble materials, theatrical lighting, and evocative scenography. It showcases the precious collection of Mr. Jacquelin Bouchard, a passionate collector and co-owner of Chez Truchon, who wished to make these exceptional pieces accessible to the public in a setting that is elegant, mysterious, and inspiring.

The bistronomic table of Chez Truchon welcomes you in a warm and elegant atmosphere. Inspired by the riches of the local terroir and the expertise of our local producers, our cuisine invites you on a journey of flavours. Our excellent traditional breakfasts are also offered at affordable prices for the delight of our guests. Settle comfortably in the dining room and savour every moment.

In this fantastic setting, let yourself be tempted by our hot drinks, local beers, or cocktails crafted by our mixologist—perfect for après-ski or simply a relaxing moment by the fire with friends. Feeling a little hungry? Give in to Jean-Christophe’s comforting small plates or our shareable boards.
New: our team now offers 5-à-7 specials every Thursday and Friday evening, as well as lunch meals every day. And to extend the experience, digestifs are served until 10 p.m.
