Tracy BOWIE
Tracy Bowie has been a passionate advocate of Canadian design internationally for over 30 years through organizing events to bring the design and architecture industry together for networking, inspiration, access to new materials, products and trends and education on key issues such as sustainability, wellness and accessibility.
After a rewarding career leading IIDEXCanada and managing Designers Walk, she now leads her own firm, Tracy Bowie Projects where she programs conferences for associations including ASID and IDC, organizes sales and marketing strategies for key Canadian manufacturers like Eventscape and helps to launch new initiatives like the Architecture & Design Film Festival in Toronto at TIFF Lightbox in November 2019 and the Virtual ADFF in November 2020.
Tracy also gives back to her community by mentoring youth and helping to organize events for important organizations like Stopgap, Out of the Cold, Christ St. James Food Bank, Ronald McDonald House and the Breast Cancer Support Fund. She is also a recipient of the IDC/IIDA Leadership Award of Excellence (2013), is an honourary member of ARIDO, a DesignTO Ambassador and has also been a member of the advisory board of the Ryerson School of Interior Design and the Interior Designers of Canada Foundation.
Tracy is honoured to become a judge for the Grands Prix Du Design and add her boundless energy, love of design, never-give-up attitude and people connecting skills to this exciting opportunity.
