Claude MICELI
Claude Miceli was born in Algiers, raised in France.
She began her professional career in Montreal as an illustrator. She published in various Canadian magazines, children’s publishing houses and created posters for the Metro.
Photographers and art directors have used her talents for their sets, ‘set-ups’ and her costume designs.
She studied sculpture and ceramics at Concordia University in Montreal.
London:
She now focuses on sculpture and 3 Dimensional in Design. A new artistic direction is reflected in her exhibitions.
Provence:
A transition that leads and encourages her to produce larger format pieces, exhibited in different galleries.
She then finds herself involved in Design projects for major events:
Project for the French Pavilion at the World’s Fair in Hannover and Lisbon.
She signs the artistic direction of important events in Europe, the Children’s Parade for La Massalia in Marseille and the Carnival of Avignon featuring her own Designs.
Toronto:
In Toronto where she settled, her creations can be found in TV set designs (Chorus Entertainment,) and 3D animation production for Spin Entertainment and Alliance Atlantis, then in Event Management for the City of Toronto (Winter City and Harbour Front Center Milk Festival).
In 2009, she is the curator and designer for OCADU University’s “Moon-Een on McCaul”.
She was the artistic director and designer at Mikka Design Ink, a company created in partnership with designer Jean-Christian Knaff for the Nuit Blanche installations (2015 ‘Fragile’ and 2016 ‘Home’).
She created a new Design of champagne glasses and water glasses for the Ritzenhoff crystal factory in Germany.
Claude taught 3D in Design and Art at OCAD University in Toronto for 6 years.
Valencia:
Recently, her creative place has moved to Valencia, Spain with new projects.
Multidisciplinary and multicultural, inspired by her many travels, she has a strong taste for ‘the unexpected’, ‘the irreverent’ and the negation of ‘déjà vu’.
She exhibits in Europe and North America.
