peel 3d’s new 3D scanners was designed to offer unprecedented ergonomics and confidence during scanning sessions. Dozens (approx. 40) prototypes were built to find a balance between comfort and internal component management. The use of a touch screen also facilitates the use and allows an excellent integration with the software interface. The addition of a haptic system to detect the position of the sensor in the environment adds to the user\\’s experience by making it more positive. In addition, the development of the carrying case offers dual functionalities: a solution to protect the scanner and store accessories, including the calibration plate, cables & power supply.

A lot of effort was made to design peel 3d scanners to make them ultra-comfortable and efficient in all use conditions. The design has been optimized so that the 3D scanner can be held in many different positions and enable efficient measurement capture of any type of object.
Several parts of the 3D scanner are made of plastic injection with soft-touch over-moulding that makes it easy on.
