The historic Espace 67 site of Parc Jean-Drapeau Located on the historic site of Montreal’s Expo 67, this multihyphenate concept resulted from a transdisciplinary collaboration between architecture, landscape architecture, branding and graphic design. Representing a vast redevelopment, Espace 67 is a series of grandiose gestures which echo the avant-garde architecture of an unforgettable era in design. A place of wonder which begs exploration in the heart of Parc Jean-Drapeau, it speaks a language of forms that reveals not only the quality of the built and natural environment, but the history and genius of the site. Its central alley, the backbone of the site, creates a visual and thematic link between the Buckminster Fuller’s Biosphere, the metro station entrance and Calder's Trois disques sculpture. Surrounded by these monuments and moments inspired by the spirit of innovation and possibility that were characteristic of Expo 67, as well as three new artworks to be installed across the site, visitors are guided into another space and time when combined with unobstructed views of the riverbank and the river.
