The first integrated complex to be built in Las Vegas in the last decade, the Resorts World Theatre includes, among other things, 3 hotels, a casino, a spa and a theater with a 5,000-seat auditorium that will host, since December 1, 2021, world-renowned stars such as Katy Perry and Céline Dion.
For this $125 million USD project, UDO designed and implemented the architectural lighting for all of the theater's spaces, including the entrance, lobbies, circulation areas, dressing rooms, VIP areas and the famous 22,575 square meter theater.
The user is at the center of the concept by creating a lighting scheme that allows visitors to find their way around but also to be in a soothing place in contrast with the glitzy world of the casino.
The light was worked in a minimalist way to create a muted atmosphere and enhance the elegant side of the interior design. The different tones of light, ranging from warm to cold, also serve as signage. In fact, the spaces where visitors move around, the light is more neutral while the spaces where visitors linger the light is warm and enveloping. The different spaces are thus easily identifiable thanks to the different lighting atmospheres.
The light is programmed in several scenes to accommodate the different activities that take place in the theater.
