Located in a residential complex, in Downtown Montreal, not far from the Montreal Fine Arts Museum, this 1925 row house has been entirely renovated, from the basement to the top floor, to better answer the clients programmatical needs.
Once dark and visually charged, a deep study was needed to bring the house back to life. A meticulous work started with the harmonisation of spaces, material research, color schemes and requalification of all ornamental elements. Each window was replaced while maintaining and showcasing the existing architectural style. Every moulding or trim was studied, redesigned and redrawn to be then manufactured in an artisanal way. All the built-in furniture was thought of to facilitate storage and the main entrance was entirely reworked to offer a proper space.
