Maison dans les Laurentides par Mélyssa Robert
Product
The intention with this project was to create a safe haven with a style that is both modern and organic, and to harmonize the house’s architecture with its wooded environment in the Laurentians. The radiant concrete floor provides the comfort sought by its owners while being practical. The wood of the ceiling slats and kitchen cabinets brings warmth, while the contrasts of colors and textures add dynamism to the family home. Neutral and warm tones allow playing with colored decorative accessories according to the seasons and the desire of the moment. The matte black finish is ideal for windows, lighting fixtures and handles. The materials selected for the master bathroom reflect the entire house. The imitation wood tiles come to seek the same color as the walnut Vanico Maronyx vanity. Accented with black metal accessories, this vanity perfectly complements the timeless and natural look of this room. The children's bathroom, which is bright for a windowless room, features imitation marble tiles installed in herringbone pattern; which is also timeless. In short, everything has been created to meet the needs of the family and the energy that emanates from that living space is nourishing and soothing.
