The self-locking ambulance seat offers a unique solution to improve the safety and efficiency of paramedics.
The vast majority of seats currently offered in the industry do not provide sufficient safe mobility to comfortably and efficiently treat patients and access the health equipment required for emergency care. Demers Ambulances and Brio Innovation reacted and designed a high mobility, self-locking action seat that allows the paramedic to perform all of his care maneuvers while remaining seated and secured. This new system allows him to move fluidly with his legs, while keeping his hands free. A saddle-shaped seat ensures stability and control during movement. The seat is very compact and comfortable, with little constraint in use. Its small footprint is a major asset for moving around the cabin and cleaning quickly between jobs.
Brio innovation has created a contrast between the fluid lines of the ergonomic cushions and the structured lines of the shell, which represent a protective element. The contours were slimmed down as much as possible, conveying a sense of lightness while integrating the seat perfectly into the limited space of the ambulance. This seat definitely bears a modern and elegant attitude.
