This modern style private residence is located in Saint-Faustin du Lac Carré on the top of the mountain bordering Nantel Lake. A private road through the forest gives us access to this mysterious residence, gradually revealing its facade among the surrounding nature.
The compact shape of the house as well as the use of three floor levels allow a reduction of the footprint of the building, as well as the impact on the vegetation present on the ground.
We have therefore opted for the use of natural wood such as bleached eastern white cedar as well as black-stained white cedar, offering us an interesting contrast. The use of vertical wooden slats superimposed at different places on the envelope giving a beautiful play of texture and depth, all discreetly providing a distinct touch to the residence.
At the rear, the architecture is marked by large floor-to-ceiling windows, offering a magnificent view of the lake below. They also offer a significant supply of light throughout the day. While the roof overhangs provide the house with protection from the sun in summer.
Inside, the private areas are located upstairs and on the garden level, while the living spaces are available on the ground floor in a magnificent open space with more generous windows and raised ceilings.
In the end, we can therefore appreciate a house with a unique architecture that fits perfectly into the site, offering tranquility and well-being to its owners.
