Assisto is a Québec-based company that cares about the well-being and comfort of its clientele, whose needs for dignity, autonomy, relaxation, and safety are addressed in the design of the Assisto bathtub with vertical door.
Manufactured in Saint-Hyacinthe, this ergonomically designed bathtub required major investments totaling over $3 million, and more than five years of research and development with a team of professionals, from engineers to occupational therapists, dedicated to creating the most adapted and innovative product possible. The bathtub’s lightweight (less than a pound) vertical door is equipped with the same sealing technology as an F-18 fighter jet, and the product is patented in Canada and the United States, and is patent pending in Europe and Japan.

Its 19-inch height meet North American accessibility standards and facilitate getting in and out of the bathtub. In addition, since the user never has to stand up or step over a threshold, their risk of falling is greatly reduced. For maximum comfort and relaxation, the tub’s design allows for bathing in a horizontal position. Assisto’s high-flow valve fills the tub in as little as 3 minutes, and its patented quick drain empties it in under 15 seconds, thus minimizing the body’s exposure to cold air. Assisto’s touch-sensitive keypad is easy to use, and Comfort Options include chromatherapy, air jets, and a heated backrest.
