BRING MEXICO TO QUEBEC!
The Terre et Eau residence, certified LEED, is inspired by a Mexican architectural design in a Quebec context with earth and water colors. Located on a large lot bordering the Rigaud River, this residence highlights the water that serves as a common thread and helps structure the exterior and interior spaces of this upscale private residence.
SPACES THAT ECHO THE MEXICAN ATMOSPHERE
The outdoor summer garden is structured around a pool from which sub-spaces for relaxation radiate. The furniture, the porticos, the lighting, everything was imagined and designed to frame the space and bring Mexico to life in Quebec! A narrow canal runs along the main pathway and brings water by gravity into the pool, in two waterfalls.
Inside, the winter garden, designed entirely by the landscape architect, is revealed in a large, luminous space that looks like an atrium. The presence of water, trees and a green wall translate a landscape that unites the concept of a courtyard and a winter garden. A water curtain serves as a screen and feeds the black indoor pool.
Rainwater harvesting basins from the roofs are also located in the outdoor garden. As in the winter garden, the landings of the pools and the sound of flowing water contribute to the ambiance and soundscape.
