The law firm De Grandpré Chait took advantage of the relocation of its offices to the 25th and 26th floors of the 800 René-Lévesque Boulevard West tower (3,250 m2) to develop an environment that better reflects its corporate culture and reinforces the feeling of belonging.
The glass partitions are one of the key elements of the new layout, accentuating the openness of the spaces and providing a major improvement in terms of luminosity. Used to frame both the closed offices of the lawyers located at the perimeter of the building and the meeting spaces, glass gives the space dynamism and fluidity. Wood and some warmer accent colors help to create a professional environment that is both warm and reassuring.
Various strategies were implemented to maximize the adaptability of the offices. A large central space, for example, is equipped with movable partitions that allow it to be transformed into a workspace, an event room, or a conference center. Built around an architectural wood structure that, like a backbone, unites all the elements of the complex into a coherent whole, the spaces are designed to ensure a mix of closed offices and open workstations. This "backbone" is a landmark of the space and a reminder of the crucial role each person plays in the success of the firm's activities.
