GRANDS PRIX DU DESIGN – 12th edition
An admirably executed exercise in style, where excess and exuberance meets minimalism in what is the architect’s signature. The challenge was to shatter conventional patterns of domesticity while satisfying the practical, utilitarian needs of everyday life and creating a working environment that allows the musician to focus. The result is an ingenious and masterly concealment of functions beneath a series of structural volumes.
A theatrical environment dominated by an immense golden ribbon that hides storage elements, divides the space and contrasts magnificently with the all-white bathroom, the raw concrete beams and the brass walls.
