GRANDS PRIX DU DESIGN – 12th edition
To the urban issues faced by the Plateau-Mont-Royal borough, the project contributes a welcome reflection on community well-being. The project’s success is achieved through the use of texture, transparency and a mature vegetative presence.
Taking into account the multiple housing units, the orientation of the windows nonetheless provides an unobstructed view onto the greenery, offering respite from the busyness of the city and providing each occupant a nook of their own.
A functional island with a distinctive morphology, the octagonal site integrates transverse rows that alternate between residences and green spaces, enhanced by pedestrian pathways to foster encounters.
A walkable environment conducive to social life
