Tasse BU
GRANDS PRIX DU DESIGN – 12th edition
With its Zen-like æsthetics and clean lines, it’s easy to see why the BU espresso cup has won two awards. The spellbound jury remarked that the design, created by industrial designer, Yvan Brousseau, demonstrated “beautiful highlighting of well-chosen materials, sophisticated colours, a simultaneously masculine and feminine quality,” and calling it a “masterfully executed project, using a wise choice of materials.”
Handmade on a small scale by Granby UBU Design, these cups have all it takes to brighten up a coffee break. The cup’s body, made of solid walnut, makes it easy to handle, and is detachable for simplified maintenance. The inside, made of white or dark grey glazed ceramic, has a textured matte finish, recalling the beauty of natural stone. The ceramic is matched with the wood, which functions as a natural insulator, optimizing heat conservation. A proud product of Quebec that will please any coffee lover in search of something unique!
