GRANDS PRIX DU DESIGN – 12th edition

The intelligent layout of space is no mystery for Catherine Catherine, the creative duo of environmental designers Catherine Gomes-Aubin and Catherine Breton-Potvin. In business since 2015, this team really distinguished themselves in these two projects.

Les Faiseurs created a contrast between a café space and a connected pottery workshop. Lively colours and a graphic mural enliven the café side, while soft colours showcase the pottery. A glass wall provides an original way to join the two zones. Paroi utile is composed of integrated, flexible furnishing, retaining the site’s natural light. The designers notably created two sections resting on the architectural lines of the residence. The opaque side creates privacy for the bed space and offers storage room. The other semi-opaque side offers a library and an office, closed off by a frosted glass pane. “Their talent for solving space problems is remarkable.We bet this duo will get people talking over the next few years!” mentioned the jury.
