(Private garden, Island of Montreal)
Design: Art & Jardins Conception
Realization: Art & Jardins
In the upper part of an urbanized territory, on the mountainside and on a portion of land sloping
inverted towards the house, the Courtepointe project was designed to allow the owners of the premises
to better take advantage of this restricted space which presented little to them. of real interest before its
landscaping as carried out by Art & Jardins.
The garden as such has a staircase and is clearly visible from everywhere. It was built from scratch
with chisel-cut blocks of silica stone, a material chosen to harmonize well with the walls of the house
as well as with all the surrounding environment. The concrete basin, poured and formed below the
slope, is covered with this same stone to coordinate well with the low walls. And the plants present in
the planting areas are very varied perennials and annuals to offer a beautiful palette of colors in all
seasons.
In direct connection with the house, the floor of the outdoor area known as the living area is of slate
sawn on site in a very formal and regular way in order to allow the installation of beautiful and good
quality garden furniture. allowing meal and rest activities in a very comfortable way. Homeowners can
now enjoy the living picture that Courtepointe presents to them in the backyard.
