Located in the heart of Marbella, a cradle of luxury and social effervescence on the Costa del Sol; strategically sited at a spot that unites the old town and La Princesa beach, Lima Hotel has undergone a comprehensive refurbishments to fully renovate its facilities, which date from 1965, and to improve its image with a new enveloping facade that stands out due to its subtlety and elegance among the adjacent facades.
As regards the design, the main strategy has consisted of carving and polishing the initial geometry of the existing building by creating a double skin that envelops the building and becomes a sign of identity: an overlay of balconies at different levels that make up the outdoor terraces, arranged as horizontal parabolas, illuminated, on its six floors, by LED technology, which increases its symbolic value as an iconic hotel of the city. Controlled, precise lighting will transform the outer surface at night into a vibrant element.
In the case of the Lima Hotel, this lighting reinforces the pre-existing structure lent it its identity in its early days, respecting that harmonious and radial air of classical aura which, with the work, manages to perfectly imbricate elegance and innovation, producing a beautiful facade in which simplicity, alongside the application of the points of light that make up a building that combines being a leading example of architectural design, with technical innovation, artistic integration and comfort.
