GRANDS PRIX DU DESIGN – 14th edition
Discipline : Interior Design
Categories : Office / Agile work Environment : Silver Certification
With our work spaces having been practically deserted in 2020, they are obviously called to evolve significantly. Among the changes to manage, remote work is a priority and it is namely for its ability to integrate this new data that the BAPE’s head office deserves attention. The probing results obtained pave the way for a major transformation of the public service offices.
In keeping with the government’s transformation project, the BAPE designed activity-based working (ABW) spaces composed exclusively of unassigned work stations. This bold approach for public service namely reinvests all the unused floor space into quality spaces and increased comfort and well-being for the occupants.
This project, sober namely to reflect the sound management of public funds, proposes an attractive design that helped motivate employees to integrate major changes in their work method. In addition to supporting the full mobility of employees, the workplace strategy uses biophilic design principles, especially the democratization of natural light and outside views, the integration of plants, the use of wood (recycled in this case) and the thoughtfully designed ergonomics of the spaces and furniture.
