GRANDS PRIX DU DESIGN – 14th edition
Discipline : Student
Categories : Student work / Student - Urban Design
Brief: Design a range of street furniture that meets the needs of users of the future tramway in the St-Roch neighbourhood. The intersection of Charest boulevard and De la Couronne Street is a focal point of the neighbourhood in addition to being the future intersection of the Trambus and the Tramway.
Mission: Give a smile and give rhythm to the city in the small details of everyday life.
Intent: To encourage creativity, innovation, while preserving the spirit of the place. Make heritage part of everyone's daily life, avoid the trivialization of landscapes.
Eclecticism unites
Quebec City's vision for 2027 is consistent with ours. Heritage will be there more than ever a source of identity, pride and creativity. All of them will help to know it better, to preserve it, to promote it and to pass it on in a thoughtful, dynamic and original way.
A space that makes St-Roch "pop"
It’s an everything sector. It's a mess, speed, discovery and diversity all at the same time. Saint-Roch is being built every day, and is in continual metamorphosis.
Our range of street furniture acts as an element of punctuation, giving rhythm to the city and energizing the everyday life. The appearance of De La Couronne street is being transformed in its heritage and creativity, in order to bring visual richness through colorful street furniture, which emphasizes the beautiful features of the neighbourhood.
