Fly Fish Yukon is protecting the environment through the fly fishing line. Casting a fly requires a precise balance of the forces of push and pull and an intimate negotiation with the air, water and light to earn a catch. In the Yukon, the Arctic Grayling with its giant sail-like dorsal fin, is the most recognizable fish. Anglers make pilgrimages to remote mountain streams just for a chance to intermingle with this unique specimen. As people experience nature first-hand, it is proven they are more likely to take care of it, so this basic action of tossing a fly fishing line can have positive effects on the preservation of our natural world.
This logo harnesses the most basic element of design, the line, and with it shapes the prized Arctic Grayling while capturing the dance of a fly line cast in front of Yukon’s majestic mountains. Iconic Yukon gold is contrasted against the green tone of glacial streams to create a graphic identity that stands out on social media and compliments the beautiful photos captured on Fly Fish Yukon expeditions.
