The safe solution that grips!
The VanGripper is a light mobile system designed for safe operations during snow removal work on the roofs of semi-trailers, drastically reducing the risk of falls. It offers an economical and versatile alternative to the huge existing mechanical systems.
The company Déneigement de Toitures Excel had already made several prototypes of their idea and even used these prototypes in the workplace.
Following a rigorous study of the strict standards regarding the safety of workers at height, concepts were proposed requiring fewer parts, being more economical, respecting the standards and emphasizing the use of aluminum for its lightness and ultra high-density polyethylene parts, a material known for its capability to slide on snow and ice.
The result is the Van Gripper, a lightweight system that sets up quickly and slides easily over the edges of truck boxes, behind the operator doing the work. It restricts movements to a safety corridor in the center of the box, limiting dangerous lateral movements.
The object, made of a robust and compact construction, added to its belt, cables and a ladder with fall protection, secures the operator in the performance of his work.
