Marie-France BÉLEC

Marie-France Bélec has had an atypical career path taking in a wide range of roles and experiences, all driven by this single ambition: innovating in service of ecological and responsible architecture.
Her search for improvements and alternatives to current construction methods led her to Europe for specialized studies, to the heart of the cross-laminated timber market’s development in Quebec, and to working with building envelope consulting teams.
Her years as a building envelope consultant also enabled her to develop the LEED 2009 Sustainable Building credit and later the LEED V4 Enhanced Building Envelope Commissioning — two tools dedicated to sustainability and resilience.
Today, Ms. Bélec is a co-founding architect of Automne, architectes Inc.
"My associate Laure and I love people—the ties that bind us together, each other’s dreams, moments of questioning and doubt, moments of joy and pride, and shared accomplishments. Together, we will make it happen."
