Design, design process, and solution.
Calimax is the largest supermarket chain with over 100 stores serving Baja California and Southern California, primarily focusing on San Diego County. Calimax’s character, The Crazy Cart, is finally returning after Covid. We redesign the character, enhance its visual features, design, and personality, and produce it in a higher-quality animation.
Project format:
The project is a video for online use on the Calimax website, internet banners, social media, local TV, and email blasting. We also did Billboards, posters, POP, and additional promotional materials.
Problem and solution:
During COVID, Calimax canceled onsite and ground promotions with The Crazy Cart. The clients have been asking when it is returning, along with all the onsite promotions. This project resolves the issue by bringing back the Crazy Cart.
Audience:
Our consumers are the general public of Tijuana and San Diego, including on-site and online shoppers who know the Calimax brand and new ones.
Project methods to measure the success and impact:
Online visit statistics show increased brand recognition, traffic, and sales, such as Google Analytics, Quantcast, GoSuare, Jetpack, Nielsen reports, and on-site surveys.

Statement:
Calimax’s character, The Crazy Cart, is finally coming back after COVID-19! During COVID-19, Calimax canceled onsite and ground promotions with The Crazy Cart, and the clients have been asking when it will return, along with all the onsite promotions he brings.
We redesign the character, enhance its visual features, design, and personality, and produce him in higher quality animation. The campaign formats and media targeted online video, the Calimax website, internet banners, social media, local TV, and email blasting.
