This is our second project for Hidden Away Hotels. Our first, Gran Hotel Inglés, was completed in 2018 in Madrid. The client specializes in hotels rooted in local history and authenticity.
For Seda Club Hotel, we were inspired by Granada’s centuries of Muslim rule, the silk trade that proliferated there at that time, and the British influence that arrived in 1492 when the last Muslim ruler in Iberia surrendered to Catholic monarchs. We imagined Seda Club Hotel as the ultimate gathering place, melting pot, and cultural center for the influx of European visitors and explorers who followed. The hotel has a luxurious social club feel, with rich woods, bronze metal, velvet, and marble, elaborate and residential FF&E. The effect is a series of discoverable spaces that feel exclusive, timeless, warm, and irreverent.
