NumerArt for restaurant Bvrger
Commissioned by Chantal Royer Design to realize a singular artistic vision for the Bvrger restaurant, owned by Christian Ventura’s group, NumérArt took on the challenge of creating and producing murals to occupy half the available walls inside the premises. Working closely with Chantal Royer Design, we were able to precisely define the desired atmosphere, aiming to instill warmth and happiness, transforming the design into a vector of emotions for every visitor and blending in with the visual identity of the Bvrger restaurant.
Strategic Integration: Art at the Heart of Ambiance
The NumérArt strategic integration of the murals began with the choice of an old work, an 18th-century Italian tapestry, declined and modernized into murals. By modernizing the colors, eliminating elements incompatible with Bvrger’s vegan ethic, and choosing a textured linen-like wallpaper, NumérArt not only respected but enriched the original intent of the work. This careful reinterpretation has resulted in a mural that immerses visitors in an immersive experience, establishing a direct link with nature and offering the trompe l’oeil feel of an ancient hand-woven tapestry.
Sensory and Emotional Effects: A Deep Connection with the Visitor
On the first floor, to soften the effect of depth due to the room’s long configuration, a 16000 mm by 4240 mm mural completely covers the right-hand wall, which continues to the back. The mural’s visuals, chosen for their depth of field and proportional realism, depict lush vegetation, birds and fountains, creating a sense of space and freedom that makes the room feel wider. This scene promotes an environment conducive to well-being, openness, connection with nature and, by extension, enjoying vegan burgers.
On the mezzanine, the mural continues with the use of a dominant yellow and smooth silver wallpaper, it creates a contrast evoking the ascent into the heights of a wooded landscape, offering a unique perspective. This ambiance generates a feeling of intimacy and happiness, amplifying the enveloping experience desired by Chantal Royer.
Thematic Coherence: An Enveloping Experience
The extension of the botanical theme to the bathrooms with repeating bird motifs in two colorations, accentuate the visual and emotional coherence across the restaurant’s different spaces. This attention to detail ensures a fluid transition between spaces, immersing visitors in a coherent, immersive universe, perfectly in tune with Chantal Royer’s aspirations and Bvrger’s visual identity.
Ecological Commitment: Alignment with Bvrger Values
The careful selection of eco-friendly materials for wallpaper, printing inks, and glue underscores NumérArt’s commitment to sustainability, reflecting the values of the Bvrger restaurant. This thoughtful approach enriches the emotional impact of design on visitors, offering an experience that is both aesthetically pleasing and ethically responsible, thanks to the Christian Ventura group’s vision, implemented by Chantal Royer Design and magnified by NumérArt through the murals.
In the end, NumérArt’s collaboration as a wallpaper designer and manufacturer masterfully illustrates how a visual transformed into a carefully designed and integrated mural can transcend architectural space to become the beating heart of a project, reflecting not only a brand identity but also a deep commitment to a shared aesthetic and values.
