The customers wanted a home in which they could grow old in peace. To achieve this, we designed the interior spaces so that they would be easy to move around in with a wheelchair. A ramp was designed to facilitate access to the outside from the first floor.
Customers wanted the feeling of being outside from inside. To achieve this, we provided plenty of windows on the welcoming side of the living rooms and made sure to have high ceilings. As the climate is inhospitable 7 months of the year, it was essential that the main rooms be user-friendly, with simple circulation between the dining room, kitchen and living room.
Aesthetics and future autonomy were key considerations for this project.

All slate floors ordered direct from Turkey in 24×36 formats. On the first floor, one portion is on concrete slab over fill (no basement) and the other on a wooden joist floor. This junction reaches the middle of the rooms with these large tiles. The expansion joint doesn’t appear
Radiant floors under the slate throughout the house, as well as on the shower walls.
