In transforming a narrow plot with limited frontage, we faced the challenge of turning a spacious corridor into a functional space for Brass Restaurant, avoiding a mere passage feel. Custom made furniture, specifically tailored for establishment, played a crucial role, with meticulous attention to enhancing the details of each material used to create a unique environment. The limited frontage forced us to be creative in how we approached the exterior design of the structure. We utilized every available inch to maximize natural light and ventilation, creating a sense of spaciousness despite the space constraints. This not only improved the functionality of the Brass restaurant but also made it feel more welcoming and open. Regarding the spacious corridor, our goal was to turn it into an area that not only connected different parts of the house but also served as an attractive and usable space in its own right. We chose to incorporate design elements such as built-in shelving, strategic lighting, and smart use of color and materials to make it a versatile space. It can function as a quiet reading area, a place to display art, or even a small workspace corner. Custom-made furniture was a pivotal part of our approach in this project. Every piece of furniture was carefully designed to fit harmoniously within the available space. This not only maximized functionality but also added a unique and personalized touch to the home. The details of each material used were meticulously selected to ensure they seamlessly matched the overall design aesthetic and created a sense of cohesion throughout the space. Ultimately, facing these challenges allowed us to create a truly special and functional environment within what initially appeared to be a constrained space. The combination of smart design, custom furniture, and meticulous attention to detail resulted in a unique dwelling that exceptionally reflects the personality and needs of its inhabitants.
The choice to use hardwood flooring and the use of black slate for the flooring were decisions that highlighted Mexican craftsmanship. The hardwood flooring, in particular, was a testament to the talent of skilled Mexican artisans, who worked with precision to create a floor that was not only functional but also a work of art in itself. The furniture at Brass Restaurant was custom-designed and made to ensure a perfect match with the aesthetics and functionality of the space. Each piece of furniture was carefully crafted by expert artisans. A highlight of Brass Restaurant’s interior design is the central chandelier, a true craftsmanship gem. This horn-shaped resin chandelier was handcrafted by a skilled artisan from Monterrey, Nuevo Leon, whose talent and dedication are clearly reflected in this piece. The chandelier not only elegantly illuminates the space but also adds a touch of sophistication and beauty to the restaurant’s atmosphere. In summary, every design element at Brass Restaurant, from the flooring to the furniture and the central chandelier, was carefully selected and crafted by Mexican hands, contributing to creating a unique and authentic experience for our customers.
