Parc Deauville: A nature oasis in Pierrefonds (Montreal)
The Parc Deauville, nestled in Montreal’s picturesque Pierrefonds-Roxboro district, is a haven of serenity conducive to relaxation and outdoor recreation. The collaboration between Techsport and Earthscape has given birth to this enchanting natural oasis.
Deauville Park isn’t just about nature; Maria Isabelle Hernandez and our partners in the borough of Pierrefonds-Roxboro also wanted to create a community experience around the park. To this end, they made it a collaborative effort by inviting neighboring citizens to participate in the planting of a mini-forest in the park. They managed to reuse ash trees, lost to emerald ash borer beetles, to make all the street furniture, a profound demonstration of eco-responsibility in harmony with the park’s emphasis on the importance of nature.
The park’s layout promotes a biophilic experience thanks to natural textures, earthy colors and playful shapes that appeal to young adventurers. Children can explore creatively designed wooden play structures, encouraging free play and connection with nature. Whether it’s a whimsical bridge, a climbing net or a hidden nook, Earthscape’s attention to detail ensures that each element blends harmoniously with the natural beauty of Parc Deauville.
But Parc Deauville isn’t just about relaxation; it’s also a dynamic space where the Trekfit fitness zone complements Earthscape’s wooden play structures to offer an unforgettable experience for all visitors, children and adults alike :
- The Summit rises proudly, a 12-foot-high climbing wall that beckons adventure seekers. Its rough surface challenges beginners and experienced climbers alike. Those who conquer this crag are rewarded with a breathtaking view of the park and its many attractions.
- Next to the Summit, the Bamboo Jungle waits. Inspired by nature, this fitness zone features structures inspired by bamboo. Imagine balancing, stretching and agility testing in this serene setting. It’s an invitation to move, breathe and connect with the environment.
- Also near the Summit, Trekfit’s Cargo Net adds an exciting twist to traditional climbing nets. Modeled after military nets, it offers a unique challenge. Climb, climb and conquer: this net is not only fun, but also a great exercise for upper body strength and coordination.
