The St-Lazare project, a new 2046 square foot home, merges the essence of a British Farmhouse with the uniqueness of a modern home rich in stories. Les Coupables took on the challenge of transforming this construction into a vibrant living space, embodying the dreams of a family with two children in search of a lasting family nest.
At the heart of this home, the kitchen emerges as the epicenter of family life, a sharing space inspired by the expansive kitchens of country homes, equipped with two work islands that promise conviviality and unforgettable moments. The use of aged materials and colors drawn directly from the English countryside landscape brings a touch of authenticity and durability, creating a space where rusticity and elegance effortlessly coexist.
Every detail, from the white oak floors to the robust stone walls of the kitchen, the exposed beams to the chevron patterns, has been thoughtfully curated to capture the essence of historic homes while integrating modern design elements. This fusion creates a unique living environment, where culinary tradition harmoniously anchors in the daily life.
The harmony of colors and the strategic use of rounded shapes and arches add a dimension of fluidity and openness, inviting complete immersion in a warm and personalized family space.
