Design Description The designer boldly breaks the original layout of the space and reorganizes the distribution of “release” and “collection”; the distance between public and private areas; and the planning of opening and storage.
The double-sided sofa connects the space into a central area. It let the space become diverse that people can read and chat on the left, while lie flatly on the right to play games, watch movies, and appreciate sceneries. The north facing window of the restaurant has been changed into a super large glass window with electric shutters, allowing free control of light and shadow, as well as making the space cleaner that there are no hidden dangers in the use of western kitchens. Designers deploy micro cement with subtle and rich light and color changes as the base of the space, which is scratch resistant and easy to scrub. Then they pair it with a delicate touch wooden partition cabinet that is warm and comfortable. The cabinet is also chosen to be painted with matte to extend the overall light and shadow atmosphere, making the space more comfortable and relaxed.
The sunlight and air naturally stretch and flow in the open space, changing with the sunrise and sunset throughout the year. The indoor-and-outdoor lake-and-mountain scenery with natural dynamics are integrated as if they were created by nature. This is a gift from nature and is inseparable from designers’ understanding of space. The highlight of the master bedroom is that the bathtub is placed in the french window to allow users to fully enjoy the outdoor beauty. With a sun and moon curtain, users can adjust the light and shadow, or completely block out the light. The grille moving screen between the bathtub and bedroom subtly melts ambiguity into the space. In the private space, when hot water is poured into a white bathtub, and the body slides into the water, one’s mind floats with smoke and comes down to nature.
