Our client asked us to create an extraordinary room, worthy of the greatest international architectural projects. So we asked our client Arik Azoulay to accompany us in this madness. Charles Parnaso created from his painting a versatile concept in functionality and aesthetics and the Eden project was born! This project required the artistic, aesthetic, design and technical dressing of this party room in Montreal, in the Ville Mont-Royal district in the heart of the Glen Mount project.
The mandate was therefore artistic and bewitching. The idea was to make people forget the architectural products of LHV Design in order to compose a giant three-dimensional painting meeting the requirements of Quebec Sound, acoustic comfort being paramount.
The only similar project is a project by international architect Jean Nouvel in collaboration with artist Pipilotti Rist at the 5-star Sofitel Stephansdom hotel in Vienna.
In the Eden project, the ceiling cladding, like the walls, had to add a soundproofing parameter because of a 24-foot height constraint and major sound-amplifying windows.
It also needed to have a non-aggressive brightness punch with backlighting and indirect lighting that was worked on by the LHV Design team.
The receding lines of the walls give a dynamic that extends the work done on the ceiling, forming a comforting sound and visual, inspiring and comforting harmony of the space that comes alive like a sunset with its beautiful colored canvases.
This venue will undoubtedly, become a staple of Montreal’s high-end rental venues.
