Cheryl BROADHEAD
Principal – RID IDC DID BFA LEED® AP
Cheryl completed a Diploma in Interior Design with Honours at Kwantlen Polytechnic University in 1998 in Richmond, BC. Previously, she received her Bachelor of Fine Arts from the University of Calgary in 1991.
Following university and before co-founding BYU Design, Cheryl gained experience through local and national design firms in Vancouver and Toronto, where she specialized in hospitality and multi-unit residential projects locally, nationally, and internationally.
Cheryl is dedicated to her vocation and has immersed herself in the industry by attaining various designations. She passed the National Council for Interior Design Qualification (NCIDQ) exam, and achieved the respected title of Registered Interior Designer (RID) with Interior Designers of Canada (IDC). She is a Professional Member of the Interior Designers Institute of British Columbia (IDIBC). In 2008, Cheryl successfully became a LEED accredited professional. She currently sits on the BCIT Interior Design Program Advisory Committee.
