A new year. A new approach. This visual language focuses on the idea of inclusivity achieved visually by juxtaposing rigid design criteria with open-ended construction guidelines. The result is a playful visual system with no set “look” but still retains a sense of thematic structure and curation.
The concept continues the tradition of a warm and lively colour palette to contrast the grey of winter in Canada. This year focuses on a “bubblebum watermelon” palette of bright green and pink, with flourishes of purples and yellows to contrast and compliment. In addition, a few colours are added for readability and visual contrast to meet AODA standards for typographic treatment.
