Coworking environments are common and shared workspaces that encourage exchange, innovation, networking, collaboration, learning as well as openness. In addition to breaking the isolation of self-employed workers, this new type of environment allows for knowledge sharing with the goal of collective progress. Coworking spaces generally have the desire to energize the typical workplace. This aspect, therefore, allows for a multitude of activities to be done in one workday, whether in a professional or personal setting.
The goal of MVMNT (Movement) was therefore to design a coworking space in one of Place Ville-Marie’s offices. This project bearing the name Bürhotel emanates from a desire to reinvent traditional office spaces in particular by offering a more informal context.
