Le Buddy Holly Hall repr\u00e9sente une ville qui se red\u00e9finit gr\u00e2ce \u00e0 une conception collaborative et un engagement financ\u00e9 par la communaut\u00e9 envers les arts.<\/p>\n<p>Le processus innove en combinant le d\u00e9veloppement d'un mod\u00e8le d'entreprise avec une programmation fonctionnelle et la conception du b\u00e2timent. Plut\u00f4t que d'\u00eatre la cons\u00e9quence d'une \u00e9tude commerciale, l'architecture a conduit \u00e0 la cr\u00e9ation d'une entreprise artistique construite par les citoyens. Le b\u00e2timent int\u00e8gre les institutions artistiques locales dans la vie quotidienne de la ville, en c\u00e9l\u00e9brant leur travail et en inspirant une nouvelle g\u00e9n\u00e9ration d'artistes.<\/p>\n<p>Le design s'inspire du paysage de l'ouest du Texas. Les stries horizontales qui courent le long de l'enveloppe du b\u00e2timent refl\u00e8tent les formations rocheuses prismatiques et stratifi\u00e9es des canyons du Texas. Les couleurs du b\u00e2timent sont inspir\u00e9es des plaines d\u00e9sertiques, du sol et du ciel, tandis que ses formes et ses angles sont des abstractions d'arroyos et d'autres formes de relief. <\/p>\n<p>Visant la certification LEED Argent, la fa\u00e7ade du b\u00e2timent applique diverses approches d'ombrage pour contrer les fluctuations extr\u00eames de temp\u00e9rature de la r\u00e9gion. Un long surplomb, des ailettes en b\u00e9ton inclin\u00e9es et des fen\u00eatres en ruban profondes agissent comme des draperies architecturales pour rafra\u00eechir le b\u00e2timent et filtrer la lumi\u00e8re sans obstruer les vues qui entourent le Hall. <\/p>\n<p>En entrant dans le hall principal, on est accueilli par un escalier h\u00e9lico\u00efdal de quatre \u00e9tages symbolisant les tornades qui ont balay\u00e9 la ville, l'\u00e9nergie des citoyens et leur engagement envers les arts. Ce point focal sert \u00e0 relier les espaces publics du Hall. Il est compl\u00e9t\u00e9 par un mur de donateurs compos\u00e9 de 9 000 pics de guitare en aluminium et bronze bross\u00e9 de tailles diff\u00e9rentes, cr\u00e9ant une image plus grande que nature de l'homonyme du Hall. Une poutrelle de plus de 46 m\u00e8tres (153 pieds) soutient le toit au-dessus du hall d'entr\u00e9e, ce qui permet de garder l'espace sans colonne.<\/p>\n<p>Le th\u00e9\u00e2tre de 2300 places est la principale salle de spectacle et comporte des si\u00e8ges amovibles au niveau de l'orchestre qui permettent un plancher plat. Cette salle permet d'accueillir un large \u00e9ventail de spectacles, allant d'un concert de musique classique non amplifi\u00e9 \u00e0 un ballet, en passant par des spectacles pop et Broadway amplifi\u00e9s. La fonction de th\u00e9\u00e2tre commercial du b\u00e2timent contribue \u00e0 soutenir son importante programmation \u00e9ducative et de th\u00e9\u00e2tre communautaire. <\/p>\n<p>Le Crickets Theater, plus petit, de 415 places, est le cheval de bataille de la communaut\u00e9.
