With the convenience of fast expansion and, comfortable paddling ergonomics, and clean aesthetics, the design achieves the store, carry, use product features enabling this unique kayaking experience. <\/p>\n<p>The working prototype articulated the Kayak\u2019s design features and functionality, such as collapsibility for easy transport and storage, a custom elliptical hull shape to maximize the effectiveness of the seals, and a security mechanism with spring-loaded push-buttons to lock the latch firmly and prevent accidental segments collapsing while in use. <\/p>\n<p>An over-center tension rod\/pole system design holds the kayak firmly extended to eliminate the risk of segment collapse. The user simply pushes poles into place\u2014putting each under compression\u2014and force is directed into the front sections, pushing the kayak open and compressing the seals. <\/p>\n<p>The poles are length-adjustable for easy accommodation due to stretching or temperature fluctuations and can be stored inside the collapsed kayak, fed through openings in the bow\/stern bulkheads, and EPDM foam ensures a water-tight seal.
