D1 Architectural Studio s&#39;engage \u00e0 cr\u00e9er un h\u00f4tel qui r\u00e9pondent \u00e0 ces valeurs.<\/p>\n<p>La nature joue un r\u00f4le essentiel dans notre vie quotidienne ainsi que dans l&#39;\u00e9volution de l&#39;Homme. Du fait de ce processus d&#39;\u00e9volution, nous poss\u00e9dons le g\u00e8ne biophilique. Une promenade dans le jardin nous rend heureux, et des maisons en b\u00e9ton sans arbres nuisent \u00e0 notre sant\u00e9 et \u00e0 notre bien-\u00eatre. Pour cette raison, les h\u00f4tels, o\u00f9 les gens cherchent un bref moment de refuge afin de r\u00e9cup\u00e9rer du stress, ont besoin d&#39;espaces verts. Mais comment int\u00e9grer des espaces verts dans le design sans le rendre trop touffu au point d&#39; \u00e9clipser la beaut\u00e9 architecturale?<\/p>\n<p>Les maisons traditionnelles de Hoi An abritent toujours une cour, un \u00e9tang et un bonsa\u00ef miniature &#8211; des \u00e9l\u00e9ments de la nature. La maison est prolong\u00e9e par la longueur et divis\u00e9e en trois cloisons, et elle est tr\u00e8s a\u00e9r\u00e9e. Inspir\u00e9 par ce design traditionnel, les architectes font de la place dans le sous-sol de l&#39;h\u00f4tel pour un jardin de sable miniature, et un petit jardin tropical sur la terrasse. Ainsi, l&#39;H\u00f4tel Le Bouton contribue \u00e0 l&#39;\u00e9conomie d&#39;\u00e9nergie et \u00e0 la protection de l&#39;environnement, tout en \u00e9tant fier de sa beaut\u00e9 architecturale. <\/p>\n","en":"<p>Hotel Le Bouton &#8211; The biophilic hotel that calls Vietnamese back to their roots <\/p>\n<p>The Hotel Le Bouton had previously been suspended after one year in construction, as the client wishes to avoid the path of modern hotels that are built for commercial use without long term consideration of sustainability. Upon receiving the commission, architects committed to place guest experience at the center. <\/p>\n<p>Humans are born biophilic, according to American biologist Edward O Wilson (1984). Being near nature makes us happy, while being distanced from it decreases our health and wellbeing. And hotels, where people run to for a brief moment of sanctuary in order to recuperate, need to incorporate green spaces first and foremost. But how can we &#34;go green&#34; without making the design too bushy that it compromises the beauty of the hotel? <\/p>\n<p>Relying on ancient wisdom to answer modern architectural problems, the architects took various site checks to Hoian in order to find references in how ancient Hoianese has created spaces that welcome nature to come and live with the inhabitants. <\/p>\n<p>Traditional houses in Hoi An always have a yard, a pond, a miniature bonsai to invite the sunlight into the space. In this way, Hoianeses ensured the harmony between living space and nature. Architects brought this idea into the design. <\/p>\n<p>The hotel makes space for a miniature sand garden, filled with natural sand from the beach, and the dry garden on the terrace. In the basement lies Le Bouton&#39;s unique offer: a hot mineral pool modeled after a cave with a natural stream, gushing from a steep limestone cliff. The architects placed the pool in the basement and empty the spaces separating the building with the surrounding walls to create the buffer zone for air to flow into the building, via an entrance in the basement, it absorbs the mist from the pool, blows into the skylight at the heart of the building, and disseminate moisturized air across the floors of the hotel.  The skylight does not only function to expand the view, take in natural light and circulate air flows, but also connect spaces together. <\/p>\n<p>The weather of Central Vietnam is famously tempestuous. To solve the construction challenges posed by this particular climate, architects collaborated with artisans from local craft villages &#8211; Non Nuoc Stone Carving Village and wood handicraft villages &#8211; to select durable materials that are capable of withstanding the harsh climate of the central region, while still entertaining architects\u2019 creativity, permit negligible construction deviations, and above all, environmental friendly. <\/p>\n<p>For the coating, architects used pebble wash and exposed aggregate sourcing from the nearby crafting village. This locally available material is cost efficient, easy to maintain, yet strong enough to endure the scorching sun. The vertical direction of the building is also calculated carefully to take advantage of natural wind and thereby limit the use of air conditioning. Wooden furniture and whetstone are also used extensively in interior design. The artisans cleverly integrated local materials to breathe the sense of local intimacy into each design elements. But how can we &#34;go green&#34; without making the design too bushy that it compromises the beauty of the hotel? <\/p>\n<p>Relying on ancient wisdom to answer modern architectural problems, the architects took various site checks to Hoian in order to find references in how ancient Hoianese has created spaces that welcome nature to come and live with the inhabitants. <\/p>\n<p>Traditional houses in Hoi An always have a yard, a pond, a miniature bonsai to invite the sunlight into the space. In this way, Hoianeses ensured the harmony between living space and nature. Architects brought this idea into the design. <\/p>\n<p>The hotel makes space for a miniature sand garden, filled with natural sand from the beach, and the dry garden on the terrace. In the basement lies Le Bouton&#39;s unique offer: a hot mineral pool modeled after a cave with a natural stream, gushing from a steep limestone cliff. The architects placed the pool in the basement and empty the spaces separating the building with the surrounding walls to create the buffer zone for air to flow into the building, via an entrance in the basement, it absorbs the mist from the pool, blows into the skylight at the heart of the building, and disseminate moisturized air across the floors of the hotel. To solve the construction challenges posed by this particular climate, architects collaborated with artisans from local craft villages &#8211; Non Nuoc Stone Carving Village and wood handicraft villages &#8211; to select durable materials that are capable of withstanding the harsh climate of the central region, while still entertaining architects\u2019 creativity, permit negligible construction deviations, and above all, environmental friendly. <\/p>\n<p>For the coating, architects used pebble wash and exposed aggregate sourcing from the nearby crafting village. Mais comment int\u00e9grer des espaces verts dans le design sans le rendre trop touffu au point d' \u00e9clipser la beaut\u00e9 architecturale?<\/p>\n<p>Les maisons traditionnelles de Hoi An abritent toujours une cour, un \u00e9tang et un bonsa\u00ef miniature \u2013 des \u00e9l\u00e9ments de la nature. La maison est prolong\u00e9e par la longueur et divis\u00e9e en trois cloisons, et elle est tr\u00e8s a\u00e9r\u00e9e. Inspir\u00e9 par ce design traditionnel, les architectes font de la place dans le sous-sol de l'h\u00f4tel pour un jardin de sable miniature, et un petit jardin tropical sur la terrasse.
