Focusing FloPatch\u2019s design on blood flow enabled the condensing of the technology into a small patch weighing less than 25 grams. <\/p>\n<p>Patient comfort was also prioritized. Every patient\u2019s neck is unique. The FloPatch\u2019s adhesive strap, which must remain in place for up to 24 hours for precision measurements, is made out of hydrogel adhesive. <\/p>\n<p>This material solves the adhesion problems caused by liquid ultrasound gel. Hydrogel adhesive absorbs moisture over time, solidifying the placement of the patch while still giving the user flexibility to adjust and reposition the device without compromising adhesion strength.
