The engineering team at Demers Ambulances developed the aluminum base featuring double linked interdependent pivots. The mobile chair is equipped with a 4-point belt and is self-locking in case of impact. Inspired by watercraft seats, the seamless and waterproof cushions are made of CFC-free expanded foam with an integrated and resistant cover. A presence sensor interacts with the control buttons, strategically positioned at the front of the seat and behind the headrest. These buttons allow to block and unblock the movement if desired.  An easy-to-reach lever under the front of the seat allows for additional fore and aft adjustments. The glue-free assembly of the seat offers the possibility to easily replace and recycle time-worn parts. Demers Ambulances and Brio Innovation reacted and designed a high mobility, self-locking action seat that allows the paramedic to perform all of his care maneuvers while remaining seated and secured. This new system allows him to move fluidly with his legs, while keeping his hands free.  A saddle-shaped seat ensures stability and control during movement.  The seat is very compact and comfortable, with little constraint in use.
