Formerly a 2-storey bargain retail store, the building now spans 3 storeys with the production facility, Taproom and Growler Shop located on the ground level.<br \/>\nThe name Boomstick was named after a term used in the logging industry; large logs used to help transport pulp logs via the water to the paper mill in Corner Brook. These logs were used to fabricate custom communal tables in the Taproom, with back steel frames as supports.<br \/>\nThe Apr\u00e8s ski concept of the Taproom is nestled in a cozy, warm, tactile surrounding overlooking the 24 hour production facility. The colour palette, texture and patterns selected for the project were inspired by the local \u201ctownsite\u201d architecture, former Newfoundland railway, and the logging industry. Acting as the \u201chearth\u201d of the building, the exterior high gloss green tile wraps inside and is visible from both the Taproom and the adjacent lobby.
