int\u00e9rieurs avec l\u2019\u00e9difice Shaughnessy ainsi qu\u2019un nouvel espace de restauration au niveau de la rue.<br \/>\nL\u2019architecture de l\u2019annexe con\u00e7ue par Lemay est une d\u00e9clinaison des \u00e9l\u00e9ments de la colonne classique : base, f\u00fbt et chapiteau. Elle r\u00e9interpr\u00e8te ces alignements avec un contraste affirm\u00e9 des mat\u00e9riaux, mais en continuit\u00e9 avec le b\u00e2timent d\u2019origine et son environnement.<br \/>\nLa nouvelle fa\u00e7ade de verre lisse cr\u00e9e un silence qui renforce le volume original adjacent, refl\u00e9tant parfaitement la lumi\u00e8re du soleil couchant. L\u2019\u00e9quipe a adopt\u00e9 cette perspective avec soin, apr\u00e8s avoir consid\u00e9r\u00e9 tous les autres angles possibles pour refl\u00e9ter le Vieux-Montr\u00e9al environnant.<br \/>\nL\u2019immat\u00e9rialit\u00e9 du verre de la rue McGill est contrebalanc\u00e9e par des mat\u00e9riaux et une composition plus classiques sur la rue Le Moyne, faisant \u00e9cho \u00e0 la ma\u00e7onnerie existante. It reinterprets these alignments with a strong contrast of materials while maintaining a continuity with the original building and its surroundings.<br \/>\nThe addition\u2019s perfectly smooth fa\u00e7ade creates a silence that strengthens the older volume, adopting a brilliant character in the setting sun. The design team considered this and every other possible viewplane in its framing of modern downtown and Old Montreal.<br \/>\nThe striking glass cut-out on McGill Street is counterbalanced with high-quality, classical materials on Le Moyne Street that echo the existing masonry.
